Mr. Tabatabai offers his condolences for the martyrs of the Popular Mobilization Forces and affirms that targeting them is an aggression against Iraq and an attempt to undermine its sovereignty.
The Deputy of the General Secretary of the Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq, Mr. Muhammad al-Tabatabai, expressed his deepest condolences on Wednesday for the martyrdom of a group of Popular Mobilization Forces members and four Iranian advisors, as a result of the "Saudi-American aggression against Iraq," stressing that these sacrifices will not deter the people of Iraq from continuing their path, but will increase their determination and resolve to perform their national duty.
Mr. Tabatabai said in a televised statement that the blood that was shed today as a result of this aggression represents an additional incentive to continue and persevere, stressing that targeting the Popular Mobilization Forces is not the first of its kind, but rather comes within a series of attacks that this national institution has been subjected to.
He added that Saudi Arabia bears responsibility for inciting sectarianism and killing in Iraq, considering that this came as a result of takfir fatwas, while calling on Saudi Arabia to provide the evidence on which it is based regarding the claim of being targeted from Iraqi territory.
On another note, Mr. Tabatabai stressed that serving the visitors of the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) is a great honor, pointing out that the members of the movement continue to perform this duty with pride and honor, based on their religious and humanitarian responsibility to serve the visitors and revive this blessed occasion.
