The Deputy of the General Secretary of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, His Eminence Sayyid Muhammad al-Tabatabai, participated today, Friday, in the funeral procession of the Grand Religious Authority, Sheikh Muhammad Ishaq al-Fayyad (may God sanctify his soul), in the presence of a large number of scholars, religious students, and crowds of mourners.
His Eminence Sayyid Tabatabai offered his condolences to the Islamic nation and prominent scholars on the passing of the religious authority Sheikh Muhammad Ishaq al-Fayyad (may his soul rest in peace), stressing that his passing represents a great loss to the religious and scientific establishment due to the prominent role he played in serving the religion and spreading Islamic sciences.
He pointed out that the late Grand Ayatollah spent his noble life in the pursuit of knowledge and learning, and devoted his efforts to spreading the approach of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them), leaving behind a prominent scientific and jurisprudential legacy that contributed to enriching the religious seminary and successive generations of students of religious sciences.
His Eminence added that Sheikh Fayyad (may God sanctify his soul) devoted his life to seeking knowledge and serving the Islamic message, recalling the high scientific status he enjoyed and the praise he received from the martyr Sayyid Muhammad al-Sadr (may God sanctify his soul), in appreciation of his scientific role and his career full of giving.
Mr. Tabatabai stressed that the memory of the late Grand Ayatollah will remain present because of his great scientific and intellectual contributions, and because of the clear impact he left in the fields of science and religious guidance.
