The Sadiqoon parliamentary expressed on Wednesday its deepest thanks and gratitude to the Iraqi people from all walks of life, to the owners of the Husseini processions, the servants and volunteers, as well as the people of all Iraqi governorates, in appreciation of their magnificent presence and exceptional participation in the funeral ceremonies, stressing that this national and faith-based scene will remain immortal in the memory of Iraq.
The bloc said in a statement that the million-strong turnout proved beyond any doubt that the school of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) is still present in the conscience of Iraqis, and that loyalty to sacrifices, values ​​and principles is not just slogans, but an approach that is translated into practical positions and steadfastness on principles.
The Sadiqoon appreciated the role played by its representatives during the funeral ceremonies, noting that they were in the field among their people, participating in performing their national and moral duty, reflecting their belief that serving citizens and standing by them is a responsibility that precedes any position or post.
The bloc affirmed that this great scene renewed the covenant with Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), and proved that the slogan launched by His Eminence Sheikh Al-Amin, “Hussein is our path,” is no longer just words to be written or repeated, but has become a living reality embodied in the morals of the sons of Iraq, their unity, discipline, awareness, and adherence to the principles that preserve the homeland and protect its dignity.
The Sadiqoon stressed that this broad popular support represents a message of loyalty to principles, a message of unity for Iraq, and a message confirming that the sons of this nation will remain loyal to the approach of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), and will adhere to the values ​​of sacrifice, reform, and serving the people, no matter how great the challenges.
The bloc concluded its statement with a prayer that God protect Iraq and its people, have mercy on its martyrs, and perpetuate the blessings of unity, pride, and dignity upon its people.
