The General Secretary of the Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq, His Eminence Sheikh Qais al-Khazali, affirmed today, Friday, that the anniversary of the liberation of the city of Mosul represents an immortal national milestone that recalls with pride and reverence the epic of liberation written in the blood of heroes, praising the sacrifices of the martyrs who gave their lives in defense of Iraq, until the city regained its freedom and security and stability returned to its people.
Sheikh Al-Khazali said in a post on the “X” platform on the anniversary of the liberation of Mosul that the martyrs were beacons of pride and dignity, and that their immortal sacrifices contributed to restoring Mosul as a free and proud city, and establishing security and safety for its people, stressing that this occasion will remain a witness to the unity of Iraqis in the face of terrorism.
His Eminence praised the heroic stances taken by the security forces in their various formations, foremost among them the Popular Mobilization Forces, the Iraqi Army, the Federal Police, the Counter-Terrorism Service, and all other security agencies, noting that they embodied the most wonderful examples of courage and selflessness, and wrote with their blood bright pages in the history of modern Iraq.
Sheikh Al-Khazali called for preserving the achievements that have been made, asking God Almighty to protect the city of Mosul and its honorable people, and to make it a beacon of coexistence, reconstruction and building, and a symbol of the unity of Iraqis, and to perpetuate the blessing of security and stability on Iraq and its people, and to have mercy on the righteous martyrs.
