Rafiq Al-Salihi, from the Sadiqoon parliamentary, confirmed on Sunday that His Eminence Sheikh Qais Al-Khazali personally adopted the issue of passing the Popular Mobilization Forces Law.
Al-Salihi said in a press statement that "since the start of the parliamentary session, the Popular Mobilization Forces Law has been one of the top priorities of the Sadiqoon," noting that "His Eminence Sheikh Qais al-Khazali has stressed more than once the necessity of passing the service and retirement law for the Popular Mobilization Forces".
He added, "The Sadiqun bloc continues to coordinate with the Presidency of Parliament to ensure the passage of the law to do justice to the members of the Popular Mobilization Forces," considering "the passage of the Popular Mobilization Forces law a sacred national duty and part of the electoral program of the Sadiqoon".
He continued, "There are enemies of the Popular Mobilization Forces from outside Iraq, and there are parties pushing to prevent the law from being passed," stressing that "His Eminence Sheikh Al-Khazali has personally adopted the issue of passing the Popular Mobilization Forces Law".
He indicated that "there are guarantees from several political blocs to pass the Popular Mobilization Forces Service and Retirement Law," explaining that "the Popular Mobilization Forces Law will contribute to resolving many problems if it is passed".
He stressed that "it is a national and moral duty to guarantee the rights of the Popular Mobilization Forces," indicating that "the draft law on service and retirement for the Popular Mobilization Forces has been studied in depth and will be approved".
