Salem Al-Absawi, a member of the Sadiqoon parliamentary, confirmed on Sunday that there are serious efforts to return the Popular Mobilization Forces Law to the House of Representatives, stressing that there is no “veto” preventing its approval, and that the law will pass within Parliament.
Al-Absawi stated in a press release that "some MPs belonging to opposing blocs will vote in favor of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) law," adding that "the fear surrounding its passage is unjustified and those who oppose it are trying to deny the sacrifices made".
 He emphasized that "the PMF will not be dissolved under any circumstances," while also confirming that "Parliament is proceeding with the passage of the Internal Security Forces law, which may be passed before the PMF law".
In another file, Al-Absawi described Al-Muthanna Governorate as “the poorest in Iraq,” noting that “some citizens there do not have the money to subscribe to private generators.” He also confirmed that questioning the head of the Investment Authority “will not be the last”.
