Ahmed Al-Moussawi, the deputy head of the Sadiqoon parliamentary, affirmed on Monday that carrying weapons is not a profession, stressing that the main task at the present stage is to build the state and strengthen its institutions.
Al-Moussawi said in a televised interview that there were justifications in the past for carrying weapons, noting that “carrying weapons is not a profession, and our mission today is to build the state”.
He added that we have no choice but to strengthen state institutions, and all resistance factions are working to strengthen state institutions, stressing that after the departure of foreign forces there are no justifications for carrying weapons.
In the fight against corruption, Al-Moussawi explained that the framework is the one that conceived the idea of ​​eliminating corruption, but he pointed out that demonstrating power by arresting those accused of corruption is unjustified, considering the use of tanks in arresting MPs accused of corruption to be excessive.
