The spokesman for the Sadiqoon parliamentary, Muhammad al-Baldawi, confirmed on Thursday that the General Secretary of the Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq, His Eminence Sheikh Qais al-Khazali, stressed the need to proceed with completing the cabinet, while indicating that the indicators of corruption have reached a level that cannot be ignored.
Al-Baldawi said in a televised interview that His Eminence Sheikh Qais al-Khazali confirmed the continuation of the cabinet formation process, and that Babylon represents the Christian component in the entitlements, indicating that His Eminence had advised against responding to those who insult him.
He added that Sheikh Al-Khazali was very pleased with the arrest campaigns in Salah al-Din on corruption charges, noting that corruption in Salah al-Din has affected reconstruction campaigns, and that many sectors in the province need crackdowns and campaigns.
Al-Baldawi pointed out that the smear campaigns against Parliament were led by executive bodies, while stressing that the indicators of corruption had reached a level that could not be ignored.
He explained that the State Audit Bureau’s report was shortened to nine pages, indicating that the State Audit Bureau had completed more than 8,000 reports, but there was a deficiency in the process of displaying data in the Bureau’s report, stressing that the State Audit Bureau does not cover all activities.
Al-Baldawi believes that the legislative institution is in the process of recovery, noting that the Financial Control Bureau should have sent its reports to the judiciary and the legislative institution, stressing that an opportunity was given to the Financial Control Bureau to reveal the facts.
